Drama classes are open to all boys and girls aged from 5 to 16 years
and our aim is to offer sessions that are designed to be fun
yet productive and will cover such topics as
acting, improvisation, mime, speech & prose, performing

Classes equip pupils with the ability to communicate effectively
which will help build their confidence

There is an emphasis on developing imagination, creativity,
interpretation and expression

... are an opportunity to put what we've learnt, into practice

We are continually planning shows, which we stage at various local theatres

dance troupes...

We currently have five junior dance troupes for 7 to 11 year olds and a
senior troupe for 11-16 year olds, at various venues across the Wirral.

These troupes perform at all our shows.

We also offer dance classes for tiny tots (3-5 years) and primary (5-7 years)
and they too are included in at least one of our shows each year. 

 

projects...

... these 4 or 5 day events, for our primary, junior and senior pupils, are held
periodically during half-term & summer holidays. Each follows a specific
theme, the highlight being the filming or recording of the project with a
free copy of the DVD or CD being provided to all those who attended.

 

exams ...

... are an option for those wishing to gain a formal qualification and special
classes are held in Wallasey & Birkenhead. Examinations are through
LAMDA, the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art, which is
accredited by the Qualifications & Curriculum Authority (QCA).

 

the team ...

... is headed by Helen Spence who has many years of professional experience
in the entertainment business, which includes numerous appearances in
theatre, film & television including Casualty, Brookside, Coronation Street, 
 The Illustrated Mum, Hollyoaks, Emmerdale, Heartbeat & many more; 
over 15 years teaching experience with students of all ages and a passion
for writing, adapting, producing and directing live theatre performances.

Assistance and support is provided by a group of enthusiastic and dedicated
staff, all of whom have general or specific experience relating to the
theatre, acting, dance or music.

Behind the scenes, we have access to a wealth of experience that includes
stage management, audio/visual editing & effects, choreographers, costumes & props.
